Not a hare!

I haven't had time to get a good scan of the progress of this piece, so i'm afraid it's a dodgy iPhone photo.

I thought it was time that I got back to the Curlew.  These feathers are already driving me a little crazy, so i'm not sure that i'll finish it before moving onto something else.  We'll see how the next couple of days go.

I took a close look, and I can see why those feathers would slowly make one crazy.

Of course, i'm just getting into the swing of the feathers on the head and neck, but they change completely as I move onto the body!

was wondering where this one had got to and whether the complex cryptic feather colouration had driven you nuts! persevere though because they're such splendid characters

Thanks Clive, the feathers are still driving me nuts though. I'm currently working up from the tail feathers and over the back of the bird...and craving a HARE drawing!!
