About time for an update

I haven't been here in a while!  I'm noticing a lot of bloggers slowing down their posts - Do you think facebook is killing off the blog?

Anyway, here is this weekend's work.  Yes, it's another hare.  I have drawn quite a few different pieces since the last hare, just forgot to add them here!

I'm working a little bit larger than usual here and using a different paper (although i can't for the life of me remember what it is called - I had better remember as i'm really liking it!)

Good to see you back, Nolon. Your question about facebook vs. blogging encouraged me to comment. I started fb. before blogging, and I much prefer the blog. I've been dying to say this - I find fb. to be almost unbelievably trivial, and in general the quality of art is very inferior. I don't think it has done a thing for promoting my art, but it has been good to re-connect with some long-lost friends.
Your hare is off to a brilliant start.

Thanks for your thoughts Kathryn. I know what you mean about Facebook - I'm not the biggest fan (which is why I only use it for business and have nothing personal on there).

I'd agree that there is a lot of poor art on there, but as with a blog page, you can keep your facebook page completely separate from that! I have certainly sold quite a few originals as a direct result of posting them on Facebook - I have sold a few that way via my blog, but certainly not the same number. I guess it's like anything, you need to right people following you for the right reasons!

Interesting that you've sold paintings on facebook. Thank you, Nolon.

I've found your blog and oh so glad to see such an accomplished pencil artist.!
I'm a watercolorist and a pencil artist. Not formally trained either, just trial and error, mostly error. ! It always inspires me to see someone else who has 'gotten there' ... and you certainly have.. your work is both beautiful and inspiring .. thank you .... BJ
