The Nolon Stacey Gallery!!

All being well, come the beginning of April, this should be 'The Nolon Stacey Gallery'!

It's in the lovely market town of Leyburn, Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales.

I've been looking for a gallery for some time now and think this should be perfect - not too big, not too small and in a great spot (close to home too!).

I'll keep you posted.

Lying Hare Sketch

Another quick sketch while waiting for a delivery of larger watercolour paper.  I hadn't realised that I had run out, so was all ready to begin my next drawing, went to dig out a sheet of paper but they were all too small - big enough for this little fella though!  Framed size 14x11"

The Curlew is finally complete.  Having started this piece back in November, and then ignoring it for over 2 months, it's been a long time coming.

Again, apologies for the phone photo - I will scan it when it's complete.

I'm still working away at the never ending feathers, going one at a time.  I've now mapped them all out, so it's literally a case of moving from one to the other until they are all present and accounted for.  I will adjust the tone across the body once they are all complete.

Hoping to finish this today, but we'll see.

Not a hare!

I haven't had time to get a good scan of the progress of this piece, so i'm afraid it's a dodgy iPhone photo.

I thought it was time that I got back to the Curlew.  These feathers are already driving me a little crazy, so i'm not sure that i'll finish it before moving onto something else.  We'll see how the next couple of days go.

Another quick sketch, size approx 11x8".  This was an idea for a drawing that was eventually replaced by the boxing hares in a more upright, portrait orientation drawing that I completed last year.

Last of the Limited Edition

'Hare Study'

Well I thought this limited edition print of 500 had sold out, but I have just collected some prints from a gallery that has closed down and they had one left!

So here is THE LAST PRINT of this edition - The first of all my hare drawings, mounted and framed in a solid oak frame (frame size 16x20").

Anyone who missed out on this print and is interested, just let me know (collection only though, due to the frame and glass!)
