Second Hare study complete...finally!

It's taken me a couple of weeks to find the time to get back to this one, but I have finally finished it.

Finished image size is approx 14"x11" and has taken around 50 hrs to complete.

Wow, quite a few comments for this one! Those Hares are always popular!! I'm off to a show tomorrow and taking the original of this with me, so we'll see how it goes down!!

Clive, I have 2 methods for drawing grass, the slow method and the very slow method. Luckily, this was the slow method. It's made up of layers of overlapping lines gradually getting longer and thicker as I move forwards towards the bottom of the drawing. I then attack it with a pencil eraser!!

Wow, you really have to see the closeup to appreciate all the details! Excellent work.

I stumbled upon your blog from a dear visitor of my own blog, and all I could say is that all your works made my eyes popped out and glued to the screen. They are just fantastic and, I can't imagine or describe how much details you put into each and every part of your drawings. I am a self-taught amateur in graphite arts too, and I just started doing it early this year. In average I spend about 4-5 hours on mine, but that's because I run out of patience most of the time. I am going to follow your blog to help me to get motivated, you're truly amazing!
